Vespa Scooter Helmet
This custom painted Vespa scooter helmet was exciting to paint, knowing Suzy was going to flash it out on the road!… Jeff Freitas from St. Simons Island, Georgia, wanted a special gift for his wife Susan. He asked for a custom painted scooter helmet that would match Susan’s vintage Vespa. She was getting her 1960s Vespa scooter rebuilt from the ground up. It was going to be perfect when finished, so she needed a custom Vespa helmet to go with it, so luckily, I timed it about right, and got it to her a few weeks before her scooter was completed, and shipped to her…
Susan was so fun to work with. She had great ideas and a laugh ass personality on the phone… For her custom helmet painting, she wanted something happy and bright. She picked a flower theme, full of white daisies with yellow centers. The daisies were painted all over the custom painted Vespa scooter helmet to match her bright and cheerful style.
I used helmet airbrushing to lay down the background color with each daisy, hand done… carefully hand-pinstriped each flower. The shadows made the daisies pop and gave them a fun look. That’s what makes custom airbrushed scooter helmets special, or at least Susan’s,…. made with love, care, and patience…
Susan also wanted to add some fun personal touches. On the back of the custom painted helmet, I painted a smiley face with shades, left side a hang-ten hand sign. On the right side, I added a peace symbol. These little details made her custom painted street helmet super special. They showed off her fun personality and little clues to her kids. That’s what I love about what I do. lemme know what I can paint, and I will… I don’t need to know what it means, but if YOU do, and one or two other people do as well… then I did my job correctly. and CUSTOM.
This was a real Street Bike custom Helmet, made just for cruising around town in style. But it’s also a little different because it’s made for a scooter, not a big motorcycle. That’s why we call it a custom painted scooter helmet or a Vespa airbrushed helmet. It has the same care and detail as any racing helmet, but with a soft and fun look for relaxing rides. WOW. That was a GREAT sentence there Chat GPT good work… Way to make me sound like a complete Retard. I’m so SO glad I get to re-write all of this. If it’s literally THAT retarded or gay, then I just don’t… because I find it funny. How can you NOT laugh 😀
Custom helmet airbrushing is all about making things clean, bright, and one of a kind. When Susan wears her helmet, everyone will see the joy and love in the design. She’ll look awesome on her scooter, wearing her matching custom painted Vespa scooter helmet.
When I get back to Georgia one day (not chatGPT) , I will be meeting Suzy and Jeff, and borrowing Susan’s scooter. I told her I want to take it for a spin around the block. And yes, that’s a threat, but really it’s just because the Vespa and the custom painted Vespa helmet are both too cool to not ride and be a BOSS on…
I love doing custom painted helmets like this. Whether it’s for a street bike, a dirt bike, or a scooter, every helmet tells a story. This one was all about love, peace, and happy rides through town. Thanks to Jeff and Susan for letting me create something so fun and meaningful. The flowers, smiley faces, and colors came together perfectly. That’s the magic of custom helmet painting—turning ideas into something real and beautiful. This custom airbrushed helmet will bring smiles every time it’s worn I would sure hope. Ride safe Susan!!!…
