Michigan Wolverines Custom Ski Helmet
This custom painted helmet, a Michigan Wolverines custom ski helmet, was a surprise gift from Adam Archer of San Francisco, to his brother. As a full blown custom painted Michigan helmet, made to look just like a real Michigan Wolverines replica helmet, this design was done using high-end PPG paint and clear, custom helmet painting, and detailed helmet airbrushing. The colors were the famous navy blue and maize yellow, just like the team football helmets.
The base of the helmet, as always, carefully prepped before starting the helmet painting process. We laid out the sharp winged design that Michigan fans know so well. On the front, we added the new Michigan logo tag. On the back of the custom ski/snow helmet, we airbrushed Adam’s brother’s initials to make it personal. That small touch helped turn it into a one-of-a-kind custom painted skiing helmet. To finish it off, we used a smooth matte clear coat over 2 layers of gloss. This made it look smooth and perfect, giving it that slick and clean finish that many fans love, and the way I would want my own done.
