Over the years, working with Troy and Troy Lee Designs has given me the incredible opportunity to paint all of the Deegan family's helmets, including those for Brian, Hailie, Haiden, and Hudson. Each custom helmet painting I’ve done for the family has been a rewarding experience, but this one for Hailie stands out as one of my favorites. By the time I worked on this particular custom painted helmet, it was already the fourth or fifth one I had completed for Hailie. Each time, she brought her own vision and ideas to the table, but for this design, Hailie was particularly specific about how she wanted it laid out. She shared clear instructions on the camo pattern and the color scheme, ensuring the final product was exactly what she had envisioned. This kind of input is invaluable in custom helmet painting, as it allows me to bring the wearer’s personality and preferences into every stroke of the airbrush.
What makes working with Hailie even more special, though, is that she leaves a lot of the creative freedom to me. While she provides specific guidance, such as the camo design and color choices, she gives me the space to execute the design with my artistic interpretation. Working with Troy Lee Designs also brings exciting celebrities and athletes into the mix, and Hailie, as part of the Deegan family, has always been one of my favorites to work with.
