This Haiden Deegan custom painted helmet was another awesome project to work on for the Deegan family. Known as “Dangerboy,” Haiden Deegan has made a huge name for himself in the motocross world, and his helmets are always designed to match his high-energy, fearless style. The Haiden Deegan MX helmet was not only a creative challenge but also an opportunity to bring Haiden’s vision to life using custom helmet painting and helmet airbrushing techniques.

Haiden, along with his family—Brian, Marissa, Hailie, and Huck—is always a pleasure to collaborate with. They know exactly what they want and give just the right amount of input to make each design unique and meaningful. For this helmet, Haiden requested bold colors and a striking scale pattern, along with the logos of his key sponsors. It was important to him that the helmet represented his personality and style while also standing out on the track.

We started the Dangerboy Deegan helmet with a strong black base, creating a sleek and modern canvas for the rest of the design. Using custom helmet airbrushing, we layered a vibrant green scale pattern across the sides and top of the helmet. The scales were given a 3D effect to make them look dynamic and lifelike, almost as if they were moving in the sunlight. This pattern was Haiden’s idea, and it really brought the whole design together, adding a sense of speed and energy.

Next, we incorporated bright orange and white accents to create bold contrast. These colors not only complemented the green scales but also matched Haiden’s gear and bike, making the entire look cohesive and professional. For the sponsor logos, we airbrushed them with precision, ensuring they were sharp and clean. Each logo was placed strategically to maintain balance in the design while keeping Haiden’s sponsors front and center. The logos stood out without overpowering the overall aesthetic of the Haiden Deegan custom helmet.

The back of the helmet featured Haiden’s iconic “Dangerboy” nickname in a graffiti-inspired font. This touch gave the helmet a gritty, street-style vibe, which perfectly matched Haiden’s fearless racing attitude. The bold lettering was outlined in metallic silver, making it pop against the black background. To finish things off, we added subtle white highlights and a high-gloss clear coat, giving the airbrushed helmet a polished and professional look that shines both on and off the track.

Seeing Haiden’s reaction to his custom painted helmet was the best part of the whole process. He was thrilled with how the design turned out, especially the scale pattern and the bold colors.
