Game of Thrones Motorcycle Helmet

This Game of Thrones motorcycle helmet was custom painted and airbrushed for Santo Criscuolo from Seattle, WA. Santo wanted a unique design for his custom painted street helmet, inspired by the TV series the Game of Thrones. To make sure we captured every detail, Santo gave us a full crash course on the show, walking us through his favorite moments, scenes, and characters. With his passion as our guide, we set out to create a one-of-a-kind custom airbrushed Game of Thrones helmet.

The base of the helmet was an Arai street bike custom helmet. We began the custom helmet painting process by sketching out a layout that combined iconic Game of Thrones imagery with personal elements Santo wanted to include. Using helmet airbrushing, we brought to life the icy landscapes beyond the Wall, complete with the Night King, White Walkers, and haunting snow-covered trees. These chilling details gave the helmet a striking and mysterious vibe.

On the opposite side, we highlighted the fiery power of the Targaryens, featuring Drogon breathing flames across the surface. The blending of ice and fire made this custom painted motorcycle helmet a true tribute to the show’s most dramatic themes. We carefully balanced the intense colors and intricate details so that the design felt cohesive and not overwhelming.

One of the most personal touches Santo requested for his custom painted Game of Thrones helmet was to incorporate the show’s cover picure into the design. We placed it subtly on the back, blending it with the Stark direwolf sigil to symbolize loyalty and strength. This addition made the custom airbrushed street helmet not just a fan tribute but also a deeply personal keepsake.

The back of the helmet, the Iron Throne itself. Every blade and hilt of the swords was meticulously painted to create a realistic and powerful image. Surrounding the throne, we added faint outlines of key house sigils, like the lion of House Lannister and the kraken of House Greyjoy, all done in metallic tones to catch the light as the helmet moved.

As with all our custom painted helmets, I took care to ensure durability and a PPG Envirobase finish. The helmet painting process included layers of protective clear coat to make the colors pop and give the design a lasting shine. The glossy finish on this custom airbrushed Game of Thrones helmet added depth and brought out the icy blue real flames well.

Santo’s reaction to his custom painted street bike helmet was a positive. When he saw the final product, he was pumped on the level of detail and how every element of the design came together. He told us it was exactly how he had envisioned it—bold, unique, and personal. This custom Game of Thrones helmet a cool theme of the show and a touch of his family included.

Creating this custom painted street bike helmet was a new experience since I’ve never seen the show, but Santo gave me an education on it, so that I would hit the mark. It combined the show’s storyline for a helmet that sticks out as original and thought out. Whether on display or out on the road, this custom painted helmet is sure to turn heads and spark chatter.

Detailed custom helmet airbrushing like this one is a direction I appreciate, and many do as well. But it’s about more than just the paint—it’s about bringing someone’s passion to life in a way that’s cool, slick and different than any one else’s paint job.
