Creating this Iron Maiden -Eddie custom painted helmet for avid Iron Maiden fan Hassan Mian was a sick project, combining the legendary imagery of Eddie, Iron Maiden’s iconic mascot, with the sleek design of a street bike custom painted helmet. Hassan, based in Edmonton, Alberta, reached out after seeing one of our previous custom painted helmets and wanted something unique to match his love for Iron Maiden and his street bike.
The design began with Hassan’s request to feature Eddie from Iron Maiden prominently on his custom painted motorcycle helmet. Using helmet airbrushing, we recreated Eddie’s famous screaming face from one of the band’s most iconic album covers. The challenge was to make Eddie’s mouth align perfectly with the helmet’s face shield, creating a striking illusion that seemed to bring the character to life. This careful alignment required precision and expertise in custom helmet painting, and the final effect was nothing short of cool.
On the back of the custom airbrushed street helmet, Hassan wanted another classic Iron Maiden image: Eddie trapped in a padded room, inspired by another album cover. However, he requested a unique twist, with Eddie gesturing in a different pose to make the design truly his own. This was achieved through intricate helmet airbrushing, capturing Eddie’s crazed expression and dynamic movement.
