Downhill MTB Custom Painted Helmet

We painted a super special downhill MTB custom painted helmet for Mrs. Woodard, a teacher from Riverside. She wanted a custom painted MTB helmet that told the story of her life and how much she loves teaching. This wasn’t just any mountain bike custom helmet—it was full of meaning and personal touches that made it one-of-a-kind.

Mrs. Woodard had a fun and creative idea for her custom painted mountain bike helmet. She asked us to make the helmet look like an old school chalkboard. That’s right—like the kind you see in a classroom in the 80’s. We thought that was a really cool idea for this custom painted Troy Lee Designs MTB helmet. She wanted the helmet to show who she is.

To start the custom helmet painting, we gave the helmet a base coat that looked like a chalkboard. Then, we used real chalk to draw on some of the details, and mimic the actual writing on the board . That made it feel even more like something you’d see in a classroom. It was a fun twist that made this custom helmet airbrushing job extra special.

After the chalk details, we used helmet airbrushing tools to add the rest of the artwork. We airbrushed bright colors and special designs all around the helmet. This helmet painting used both hand-drawn chalk and smooth airbrushed designs, which made it really stand out. It was a mix of old-school and new-school styles.

This custom painted Troy Lee helmet had symbols that meant a lot to Mrs. Woodard. Some parts of the design showed her love for her students. Other parts were about nature, learning, and her personal journey. Every line and picture told a story, which made this custom airbrushed MTB helmet very special.

Mrs. Woodard wanted a helmet that was great for riding her mountain bike, too. So we used a Troy Lee Designs helmet. It was a perfect match for a downhill MTB custom helmet that needed to be safe and fun to wear.

This mountain bike custom painted helmet was made for both riding and teaching. When you look at it, you see chalk writing, books, flowers, and colorful shapes. It’s full of life and energy, just like Mrs. Woodard. We added extra layers of clear coat to keep the chalk-style artwork safe, so it would last a long time—even on trails.

When we finished the custom airbrushed MTB helmet, we were amazed. It was something we had never made before. This TLD custom helmet didn’t just look cool—it meant something deep to the person wearing it. That’s what makes custom painted helmets so fun to create. Every one is different!

Mrs. Woodard was super happy when she saw her finished custom painted mountain bike helmet. She said it was exactly what she dreamed of. We were proud to be part of that dream and to make a helmet that shows off her love for teaching and biking.

This project reminded us that helmet airbrushing isn’t just about colors and shapes. It’s about telling a story through art. From the chalkboard base to the bright designs, this custom painted MTB helmet was one of our favorite jobs. It’s not every day we get to mix school, art, and biking into one amazing custom painted helmet!

Now Mrs. Woodard rides with a helmet that’s not just cool—it’s totally hers. That’s what custom painted helmets are all about: showing your story while doing what you love.
