AFT Customs is a custom bike building shop located in Jackson, CA. The owner, Jim Giuffra, reached out to me with a request for a custom painted helmet. He had a clear vision in mind for his AFT customs custom helmet and wanted it to reflect his company and some other important details. He asked for his company logos to be included, along with a shout out to the rifle scope company that he works with. The design concept was unique and fun, so I got to work bringing it to life.

The custom painted helmet we created was designed to stand out. One of the most striking features was the action shot we added, featuring a sexy woman, holding an AR15 rifle with a camo face. This design perfectly matched the theme of Jim’s business and reflected his interests. The helmet airbrushing was carefully done to give the action shot depth and make the figure appear realistic. The details on the camo face and rifle were carefully painted to ensure that every part of the design was crisp and clear.

For this street bike custom helmet, I made sure the design wasn’t too busy, so the main elements—the logos, the action shot, and the shout out to the rifle scope company—stood out in bold colors. The custom helmet airbrushing brought the image to life in a way that made it look almost like a piece of art. Each detail, from the facial features to the rifle, was painted with precision to make sure the helmet had a high-quality finish.

The custom painted helmets we create aren’t just about the design; they’re also about the feel and durability. After finishing the airbrush work, the helmet was sealed with an Alsa flat clearcoat. This protective coating gave the custom painted helmet a sleek, matte finish that helped preserve the design while also adding an extra layer of durability. The final product was not only beautiful but also functional, ready for action on the streets.

The custom airbrushed street helmet design for AFT Customs turned out to be one of total originality. Have not done one like it since.  But I hope I can. It was fun. The design was bold, clean, and reflective of Jim’s business and his personal style. It was a custom street helmet that could easily grab attention while still looking professional and sleek. The custom helmet painting techniques we used ensured the helmet was durable enough for everyday use, whether riding on the streets or as a piece of display art in the shop.

Working on the AFT Customs helmet was a great experience, especially since Jim had a clear vision but still allowed me the freedom to add my own artistic touches. He trusted me to execute the helmet airbrushing in a way that would make his helmet stand out, and I loved the opportunity to work with him on such a unique project. The end result was a custom painted helmet that captured the spirit of AFT Customs while also showcasing some fun elements of Jim’s personal interests.
